well i'm 38 weeks pregnant and for the last 4 months of my pregnancy i've been staying up till early monring and then sleeping all day. I fall asleep around midnight-1:00 then when my boyfriend gets home from work around 4 i wake up and then can't fall back asleep until 6 or 7 in the morning. Sometimes i don't even go to sleep until 6.. i just can't sleep anymore without my boyfriend. Is this going to be bad for my baby? Am i s******g up his sleeping pattern ya think?

  1. Your baby has his own sleep schedule, so you aren't messing him up. Just make sure you are getting enough rest for yourself.

  2. oh sweetie, no your not s******g up his sleep. you may notice his sleeping pattern, but you cant do anything to change it. youll notice once hes out, that a newborn will get its sleep no matter what. thats why theres so many suggestions and tips on how to keep your baby up long enough to feed it. they sleep when they want, nothing stops them. you arent doing a thing, hes used to it. however, if you dont have a body pillow, try getting one, putting your boyfriends cologne or deoderant or aftershave or all three on it, something to make it smell like him, then cuddle up w/ it at night. it helped me alot when my hubby was working 3rds. i actually named it boyfriend, since it was who i slept with when my hubby was at work. plus, it helps when your all big and preggers to have something to prop your legs on. try laying on your side and throwing your leg over it...immediate hip pain relief, great for round ligament pain. good luck with everything, try and get some sleep.

  3. Don't worry... you're baby will pay it back!!

Babies aren't born with a sleep pattern.  They just like to sleep a lot, usually more during the day than at night.

  4. Not yet, The baby still pretty much has it's own sleeping schedule. When you have the baby start a schedule early, TRUST me you will htank yourself later.
