Right i have seen a few floaters for a while now and i know that they are pretty normal and okay. But recently i have seen other floaters and like a water effect running down my vision. I ONLY see this when i look at the bright bit from the window otherwise i do not see it at all. I also DO NOT see it when i look at white backgrounds, only when looking at the bright area of a window. I havent seen any "flashes" or a "curtain in my vision". I wear glasses and go to my optician yearly. Im wondering if the watery effect is like from water running down my eye or something, i also tend to see a few floaters when i see this. My optician has said that i am less likely to have a retinal detachment due to me being long sighted. I have had this watery effect for a about a month now and i havent noticed and significant changes. So should i just not do anything until i see further symptoms and signs? Also im 15 and im a bit of a hypercondriact when it comes to my eyes This isnt any thing bad isit?

  1. Not signs of a retinal detachment, you are just getting more contrast against those floaters in your eye. That "water effect" is just the gelatenous material that makes up the back of the eye moving around. If you have seen a large increase suddenly though, I would call your eye doctor and make sure he/she is aware.
