  1. i'm 5'4'' and i ride a 200cc bike with a seat height of 33'' and i stand completely flat footed over it... the 150r has a seat height of just over 34''... which means i could stand on that relatively flat as well.... the crf250r has a seat height of 38''.....

that's a farily large jump....some how i picture myself struggling to tip toe on one side of it.... i'd highly reccomend sticking with the crf150 for a few more years.... i'm also a h**l of a lot older too... 23 infact (yes i'm short) i still wouldn't risk the 250...

the only way to be for sure is to go sit on them tho... only you can really tell if you can handle it or not.... but if you can't get atleast one foot down flat, you're gonna have a h**l of time on it.... (atleast for trail riding or any riding where you're not constantly hauling ***)

  2. Go to some shops and sit on the bikes.

    There's no charge.

  3. Go to a bike shop and have a seat.

    Those guys know bike.

  4. Go for the 250. I went straight up from an xr100 to a Cr250, and I'm not that tall. Even if it does seem a little big you will get used to it. When i first got my 250 home i couldn't even throw my leg over it, but over time you figure out ways to make it work. Also consider that with the 250 you won't have to upgrade again, whereas with the 150 it is likely you will.

  5. Go look and feel, if you can pick it up and stand flat footed it's big enuf, you may be able to find seat height off the internet plus if chain driven there is an adapter that lowers  a bike about 2" which may allow you to look for more bikes.

  6. Have you sat on the 250? Generally I would say the CRF250 would be a little bit tall for you at this point but I have seen experienced racers shorter than you racing the 250F class. If you can sit on it comfortably you should be fine, once you are moving the height really doesn't matter. In one more year you will be too old to race a 150R so keep that in mind if you plan to compete.

  7. Go for the 250 you can grow into that and wont have to buy a new bike for a couple years.

  8. try something different for a change. get a 4x4
