  1. I wish I had one, but I doubt that I will be getting one.  I don't think you should regret it.  16 is not that much of an important age, at least, not as important as being age 18.

Maybe you could have a simple party where you go out somewhere with your family and/or your closest friends.

  2. i didn't have one.. i got like $300 and a car instead. :]

and no.. i don't regret it.

  3. *gasp*

    Why not!? :)

    it'l be fun!

    i promise

    :)

  4. I didn't have a sweet 16 party or anything, just had dinner with my family like I do every other birthday. I'm 19 (about to be 20) and I don't regret it. For some people, turning 16 is a big deal and they feel they need to throw a huge party and spend all of their parents money on it. For others, it isn't THAT big of a deal. I think you should just do what you want! Its your birthday! :)

  5. yeah, i dont like being the center of attention either. for that reason i haven't had a birthday party since sixth grade.

i dont think you'll regret it. spend time with your closest friends and family, and it will be way more special then spending it with fifty kids you hardly talk to.

  6. i feel bad for you for some reason

  7. tust me your not the only one. I mysself dont want one either. For me, I just want to go to a regular party. So, definatley, your not the only one. im with you., =]

  8. i didn't want a big party either. i did found something to do that i could have a few friends to but wasn't just about ME. i ended up lazer tagging with 2 of my good friends and we went to taco bell... lol. it was a way to celebrate, so i didn't feel like i'd regret it but wasn't a huge ordeal! good luck and happy almost bday!

  9. I didnt have a quince( a sweet 15)being latina and a sweet 15 is something VERY important .I still didnt want one after my parents begged. Kinda of the same reasons as you.Im 18 now and yet to have regret it .Anyways i ended up getting a cute car when i turned 18

  10. I didn't want or have one, I had to work anyhow!

  11. just ask your rents to let you and some friends rent a hotel room and you can have a sleepover with movies and stuff ! ":)

i want to have a party but i have the same problem as you!

    :P

  12. im the sameeee exact way, i stopped having bday parties when i was like 6 and dont have alot of friends either and i hate being the center of attention too, i didnt have a sweet 16..and i dont wanna walk at graduation lolll

  13. my friend julie doesnt want one

  14. Sweet sixteens are c**p.  I'm spending my sixteenth birthday buying a car.  Parties suck and sixteen isn't such a special year anway.

  15. No. I didnt want one either. It's a waste honestly. Go on a trip instead. Go somewhere like India! That's so exotic and it's beautiful there, that's way more worth it than having a party in my opinion. How about the Bahamas? Jamaica? France? Ireland? Brazil? Argentina? Canada? Lol, so many places to go.

  16. ok. wow I am the same way.

I am turning 16 in October and I do not want to do anything.

turning 16 is good enough for me!

I do not like the attention either. and I really do not like birthdays.

I feel you on this one!

  17. I think you will regret it, especially after you've been to a bunch of other friend's sweet sixteens and you see how much fun it was. I don't want a party either, but atleast do something special with a few special friends.

  18. I don't know im not 16. But i would just have a few friends over. And make it a party. Cause in the end you may regret it.

  19. You decide, not me.

But hope you do have your great time in your birthday.

  20. im just like u! i hate bien the center of att i always hated it im not havin a sweet 16 either dont worrry

  21. No way, i didnt want one eitherr. I thought would i regret it as well but then i looked at is as what do i care if everyone comes and has a good time what do i get out of it besides free loaders aint even like they bring gifts and i decided that id rather the money go towards my car. And then you have people you dont even know showing up and what not.

  22. No. If you don't want to have one and you don't know a lot of people, don't have one. You can have a big 18th instead!

  23. same with me. i haven't had a birthday party since i was like 10. i just don't have them. and being 16 isn't that big of a deal. the only good thing is that you can start to drive.

if i can't have a big super sweet 16 party then i won't even care. just have one for your 18th birthday... or even better, 21st!

  24. I am now 23, 24 on Wednesday.  When I was in my teen years boys were more important than anything, so blowing my curfew for them was an everyday occurrence.  My mom finally had enough and 6 months before my 16th birthday she told me that I couldn't have a sweet 16.  I honestly still resent her for taking something so important away from me.  I can honestly say, just please give it a chance.  Even having just 1 or 2 friends over is better than nothing.  We only live this life once, enjoy the ride and make the best of it.

  25. I'm turning 16, too, and I don't really want a party either. I doubt you'll regret not having a party because you can always have a big party another year. Happy (almost) Sweet 16!!!! :D
