  1. You obviously didn't book the trip on your own, nor did you do your homework. Italy is NOT one of my favorite travel destinations, but when I do go there, I eat well and have a great time! It's all about the attitude you take with you; if you learn the local customs and a little Italian, you can communicate and find out where the hot spots are for everything. On the other hand, if you have enough money, it doesn't matter, they'll cater to your wishes! Lesson learned...

  2. Not all people enjoy traveling as others do.  I've met many people who just like to be "home sweet home".   Even I, as much as I love traveling, have had my moments where I just wished that I was sitting back in my home in the United States.

  3. YES you seem to be the one and  only one that feels this way!I Maybe you are one of those who thinks The US is his WORLD??Probably you are one of a kind who cannot enjoy different cuisines maybe you feel the Hamburger is the only dish the world should know?? BTW besides HRC you must have seen your Mac Donalds , should have been  cheaper than HRC

  4. Many, maybe all, travelers who are away from home for a month will miss their home cuisine.

Not all of them admit it, but I do.

Every long trip I make I have one or a few days where I can not find any place to eat that attracts me. Often I go for 'home' style food then, in my case pizza, kebab or hamburgers, rather than local specialties.

I even go to get a McDonalds at times, that it is never good but always predictable.

But most people will not admit it because it is not 'cool'.
