Question:

Am i the only one my age...?

i feel like it. i'm seventeen. most of my friends are "sexually active" and drink at parties and stuff all the time. i just don't see the need at this age... i'm just not ready for any of that. am i the only one?

  1. I read a lot of what people have posted here and from the looks of it your are not the only one that thinks its not a good thing to do.

    So kudos to you and all the other young ladies that are staying away from the drinking and s*x stuff.

    I hope you all stay that way until you are ready.

  4. well I'm 16 and I've NEVER done any of it. It is pointless. Stick to it. It'll give u something to brag about later on in life when your happily married due to the fact you waited and young/healthy cuz u didnt do any of the other stuff. I feel good about it . I think you should too.

  5. When I was 17 I didnt feel the need to drink and be sexually active yet, there is plenty of time later in life for that. Don' t feel like just because everyone else your age is into those things that there is something wrong with you for not doing it too.  

  6. No of course not. I think you are making the smarter decision. I dont drink or party, most of my close friends dont either which is why theyre awesome.  

  7. No, my sister is like you, she's 17 too, doesn't drink, doesn't party, is not interested in having s*x.. You are one of the few!

    i was a mess when i was 17, s*x, alcohol, drugs.. I'm glad my sister is nothing like me!

  8. well you aren't the only one when i was 17 i wasn't doing any of that stuff. I'm 19 now. i still dint see why i need to do those things.

    I'm 15 (I know a lot of 17 year olds wouldn't consider me "their age," but anyways...), and I've never even had a boyfriend.  You're right... it's good to stay away from those kinds of things when you're still in high school.  Most high school relationships don't last very long, and the high schoolers who drink and party all the time usually end up going down the road to Nowhere.

  17. No, I don't think so. I think there are tons of people who are like you, but I think they're quieter about it, I know a bunch of people who are your age and older who are like that. I'm fifteen, so I can't really say how I'll be when I'm seventeen for sure, but I'm assuming I'll be the same as I am now--a virgin and sober. I think it's ridiculous to go to a party and drink to get drunk, and to just sleep with people that you aren't truly in love with. Yes, my parents give me a drink (usually wine) sometimes, but they've also taught me to drink responsibly and not to abuse it. I think it's great that you don't give in to things like that!  

  18. No! i'm 17, and I feel pretty much the same. I went to a party the other day where I was about the only one who was a virgin and wasn't trying to get off with anyone else. Glad to know I'm not the only one :)

  21. no. at 17 i was pretty much like u but now i luv goin 2 da pubs n stuff like dat. im still a virgin tho. im 19 in november. u have made some smart decisions well done. i wish i was a bit more like u when i was 17.

  22. Wow! I'm glad to see there are some girls your age left that are mature and make good decisions. I'm 20 right now, but when I was in high school, all I'd hear about is about people being sexually active, how much they drink during the weekend about parties they went to or upcoming parties. I'm in college right now and a lot of people in my college still live that type of life and just party all the time and try to have s*x with a lot of people.

    I've never been sexually active myself, I only have a couple of beers every once in a while, and when I go to parties, I like going to parties with mature people. Thank goodness my friends are like me. As for now, I want to get my degree, get a good job, find a nice place to live in and hopefully find a nice woman to have a long relationship with.

    Keep up the good work and focus on what's really important in life. You're not the only one out there and I really wish there can be more women like you where I live.

  23. Nope, you are mature I have many friends who are 17 who have never been sexually active. Good on you. I'm 16, but I know I won't be ready when I'm 17
