Am i the only one that doesnt think MJ was really the best player ever?

When people call him the best basketball player of all time, and i look back at random videos of him, it just doesnt seem like he was really good enough to be deemed the best player of all time.. input?

I am with you. There are so many other good players. MJ overrated. Duncan Bird Shaq(in prime) Johnson kobe and LeBron. You can argue that he is not the best because of Bill Russel 11 rings. MJ is not the best he is still in top 10. No i am not a LeBron or Kobe fan. Detroit is my team.

He is in the conversation has best of alltime next to bill Russell.  If you want to know why look at his post season stats and what he has done.  MJ has 6 finals MVP which is the only way to say how great he was.  Bill probably would have more than that if they started finals MVPs back then, but JOrdan is the next one second to him.  Who cares if a player has 10 regular season mvp's are is scoring champ during the regular season.  greatness comes when you bring it during the post season.  If your great in the post season that sets you a part because that is the whole goal to win a ring.  Watch Jordans 6 rings and 6 finals mvp dvd's if you really want to understand.  So the only stat should be finals mvps and rings.  And if you say jordan didn't win without pippen and his other teamates than you demean every great player that ever won a championship.  And you don't understand the comparison.

No.. you're right.. MJ is just overhyped by the media and that's why people think he is so good.. Bill Russell has 11 Titles and 5 Finals MVPS yet you see people say Jordan is better because of 6 titles and 6mvps...?

I'd take Bill anyday.
