Am i too big to be a flyer?

i am almost 15, 5 1/2 feet and i weigh about 90 lbs. i was a flyer last year, but am i getting too big now?? a super skinny girl just joined the squad and even though shes taller, im scared she might beat me out for fly.

it depends on her ability, if you can do better things then you will be the flyier. it also depends on the bases.

You'll be the flyer, if this girl just joined the squad then she most likely has never learned to be a flyer. The coach won't want to waste their time training this new girl to do stunts.

Weight and Height have very little to do with being a flyer. If you can do bow and arrow double downs and a skinnier girl with less skill comes along you will still fly. I spent 2 years as a base for flyers who weighed more than me. They had more sophisticated flying skills than me. I am now a flyer, but thats because I did flyer workouts and gained skills. Does you all-star gym offer flying clinics? Many in my area do. Look into that. In high school the girls should be strong enough to lift you regardless. If not, get your squad in your schools weight room. Work on your skills. I doubt you will be replaced but you never know. Stretch often and be tight. You may want to gain weight. Not fat, but muscle. You should be able to lift weights about half you weight. Work on upper body so you can push off your bases more easily. Good Luck!

Are you 5 feet and a half inch, or 5'6?  

You are definitely not too big in you are only 5 feet.  If you are 5'6, you are pretty tall to be a flyer, but you are super light for 5'6, so you might be alright.  Just make sure your performance looks clean.  Good luck!

typically yes. but it depends on the other girls. Im the exact same as you and im a flyer because all the other girls are bigger than me. Your so skinny i be it would work : )
