  1. Absolutley not !!!!

    I started skating when i was 12 ... im 14 now

Synchro sk8in im my dream and i am so close !!

Hard Work, Determination and a lotta practice and you'll get there !!

But be prepared fo PAIN !! its a painful sport ... buh worth every second of the pain !!

    Good Luck !!

  2. No Your not! I'm 11 And i can start senior when im over 15!

So keep going beckie downnie ( england gymnast) is 16 shes only just finished her senior level!

  3. Hiiii

Im just like you! Im 13 and i'd do anything to compete in figure skating competitions. You are not too young. If you really try and go to the ice rink as much as you can and get a good trainer tehn you will get to the competitions!!! hope this helped! xx

  4. What level are you at right now? Nothing is impossible in skating, anyone can be a top senior skater, provided you have the determination to do so! You have to be willing to work very hard, and have a good attitude, and to not quit when the going gets tough. If you have the finances and the determination it is very possible to make it to senior. Just keep the dedication that you seem to have! Many people have the potential, but not the drive.

  5. No, where there is a will there is a way especislly if you have the financial backing to pay for top level coaching and hours of sweat and tears and then anything is possible.

  6. Yeah, what's your current level, how long have you been skating and how tall are your parents? Skating is an injust sport (especially for ladies), you can have all the enthusiasm in the world, but if you're female and you end up being 5'9; unless you enter ice dancing, you will not become a Senior skater. Carolina Kostner who is an amazing skater has a hard time controlling her Triples at her current height (she's like 5'5 perhaps??).

If you have the right body for the sport and can afford the time and cash for it, why not?

Even if you don't make it as a Senior in any case, at least you're doing good exercise. 13 isn't a bad age to start, at least you won't get hit by as many injuries and burnout like the youngin's who start at age 5.

A lot depends on who's coaching you too and if you can learn how to make the CoP scoring system to your advantage. The new rules were posted just recently and you now have more options on getting higher levelled spins. Better start learning opposite direction spins from the start. ;)

Oh, and Flying Layback spins hahahaha.
