is it too late for me to be flexible or can i still build my full flexibility capacity at this age? im starting yoga and i wonder if ill ever be able to do those positions or if im too old to gain flexibility like that and do splits and back bends etc

ive never had any injuries or anything of the sort

  2. you're not too old

  3. you can be flexible at any age!!!!!  that's just what happens if you don't do something for a while but also exercising in the morning helps too!

  4. Your not to old you just need to start and it will be better with time

  5. Yes, you can still be flexible, just exercise and eat healthy. You're still young.

  6. please! Are you kidding?  I've seen lots of old people in yoga classes.

It has more to do with the state of your physical  health than your age.

  7. Anything is possible.. Just believe you can and you will. I know that sounds lame and cliche but it's the truth.!

But make sure to take it slow, because you can really injure yourself.

  8. not late at all, you'll just have to practice a lot more than you used to, and quit smoking:D, no alcohol allowed either:):)!!!

  9. i don't feel 30 is that old

  10. what? too old? i saw a 60 year old at the olympics. your not too old. the question is, are you too young? lol!

  11. you're not old, 30 is young!

Yoga is perfect for you.  I am happy you are taking it!  Stick with it and don't lose heart.  It will be painful at first, but after about a week or two, you will start to feel young again.  Good luck!

  12. no you can still do it,go for it and all the best

  13.      Lord, no.  I wish to goodness I was thirty again!  You seem to have the 'want to'.  It's just a question of getting down to it.  Really, love, you're a mere child!!!  Good luck with all you do

  14. Your never to old to start exercising.  Just take it slow and easy.  I'm 56 and just started walking and stretching in the last 2 months. Oh, and I've got rheumatoid arthritis.  You either will feel better or you won't.   I've already lost 10 pound and feel great.  If you feel that you need to get an OK from your doctor do it.  Be sure to drink water to rehydrate yourself.  Good luck!

  15. Im 37.  I started doing yoga a few months back and although I dont kow if Ill ever be as bendy as when i was a kid, I did improve.  Good luck!

  16. ABSOLUTELY NOT! Unless you have a joint or muscle condition, there is no reason why you cannot work up to having full range of motion and flexibility. Especially as young as 30- it will come with time- but it will come if you are consistent with your stretching. Stretch in between yoga classes- once a day preferably. If you stick with it, you'll become more and more flexible until those yoga poses are no big deal- just go for it!

  17. Well, you won't be as flexible as you were at 16 but it is never to late to be more flexible.  Yoga is a good way to regain some of the mobility you once had.  Flexibility should always be a part of any exercise regimen you may want to start.  Good luck and don't give up.

  18. NO YOUR NOT TO OLD!!!!

You just need to work at it little by little....strech a lot but not to the point where you become uncomfotable.....

Yoga would be a great place to start!...Just remember to take it easy and don't over do it!

Drink lots of water and sleep at least 8 hrs...

    STAY YOUNG!!!

  19. First see an arthritis doctor and make sure you do not have ankylosing spondylitis or some other serious arthritis affecting your spine and neck. If you get a clean bill of health I see no reason why at 30 you cannot regain full flexibility. If you have the arthritis they will recommend some other types of exercises like swimming in warm water.
