Question:

Am i too old to become a professional ballet dancer?

I am 13 years old and i started ballet in March 08 and i have just started en pointe because my teacher thinks that i am good enough... I have 2 ballet lessons a week and i have just started pilates once a week. i am 5ft 3" and weigh 96pounds. Am i the right build? (I am willing to lose weight/ put on weight) I'll do anything become a ballerina. And i am going to audition for a place in a ballet school near where i live and if i get in i will be starting in year 10 (september 2009). Have i got a chance?

  1. I think your weight is good but if really work hard and practice every single day and audition you might be able to become a professional dancer good luck an remember to practice every single day.


  2. It just really depends...you have to believe in yourself and be passionate about it...you might get rejected but just keep trying if you really want it, it's all part of a dancer's life!
