Am i too overprotective towards my sis? What should i do?

I am overly concerned for my family members' well being and i guess i could say that i hate to see them being taken advantage of. But now i have realized that even though i am so caring towards them they are not the same towards me when discussing important family matters and the like. For instance the whole family knew about my sister's future husband but kept it from me. And i feel like my sis is being taken advantaged of by that man because i feel she is too imature when it comes to these things. I am overly hurt by this and the fact that my mother doesnt seem to care for my opinion on this subject.

What should i do?

Well I think your family thinks since this is your sisters life you dont have a saying in who she marrys. It seems your being concern is just out of love but they dont understand that.  Really the most you can do is sit back and watch. Or you can tell your sister privately on why you think this and sorry if she thinks your metaling in her life.

Well you can't control your sisters lives, so unfortunately you will have to butt out of this one. I think you can have your own opinion but, i think you should keep it to yourself. And if this man is taking advantage of your sister, then your sister will have to see that for herself.  Then you'll be there to comfort her. But you can't protect your family from everything. But you CAN be there to comfort, and be a listener.

It's sweet you just want to protect her, really but the fact that your whole family kept her fiance a secret because they KNEW how would react raises a lot of question. I suggest you let your family make their own mistakes and try to keep your comments to yourself and just grin and bear it. And if it all crashes down then be there for her then. Let your sister know that your happy for her too.
