  1. It is important to use either aged water (so the chlorine can evaporate) or a water conditioner like aquasafe, stress coat, start right, to immediately remove chlorine, detoxify chloramines, and neutralize heavy metals.  Other than that it is generally believed that the less chemicals you can use the better, so unless your water is particularly cloudy you don't need the waterclarifier.  The clarifier is used when there are a lot of tiny particles in the water you want to clump together to allow your filter to remove them.

    Good Luck!

  2. If you are using tap water then you must use the aquasafe to remove the chlorine and other chemical that are harmful to fish. waterclarifier is meant to just keep your water clear. so you can use both if you want.

  3. I don't know the specifics of those treatments, but I'm guessing aquasafe is a product which removes the chlorine, ammonia, etc. out of tap water, which is good, you need to use this type of product for ANY NEW water that enters the aquarium.

Outside of the chlorine removing products for NEW water, you shouldn't have to use much else. I use stresszyme (which I think may be similar to waterclarifier, in that it's an enzyme product used to promote and maintain the nitrogen cycle) on a weekly basis in my tank thats currently cycling as well as a dose of biozyme every now and then.

But no you shouldn't need to use the aquasafe on a regular basis, only when you are putting any new water into the tank. Just use a enzyme based product to promote and maintaint he nitrogen cycle.
