Am i weird?

Question

i am 11 and i like classical things i like classical ballet, classic movies, classical clothes, houses that look like they were built in the classical times, and i like to write classical stories and plays am i weird?

You are so far from weird!  We all have particular tastes, yours just happens to be classical!

I am very similar, my favorite books are Jane Austen Novels.  I wish I could live in an elegant 19th century English mansion and wear the same clothes!

Writing is a wonderful thing, never give that up.  Some people write fantasy, some people write non-fiction, some people write historical fiction.  That would be your genre!  

Hey you may be famous one day and your love for the classics will have gotten you there.  Never give up what you love!

There's nothing wrong with these things.  When I was eleven I was running around singing bits from "Sweeney Todd", a very elaborate musical about people getting killed by a barber and put into meat pies.  Granted, I knew the topic was squicky, but my point stands:

I think we can safely say that we're all weird at 11.  And I think we can safely say that all of the most famous people in the world?  Being weird is what got them there.

What is weird?

No two people are the same.

There are others like you.  A lot of your likes may have to do with what you have been exposed to.

Be proud of who you are and don't give up what you truely like just to fit into some stereotype of what you think others are like.  Most people don't even know what they really like at your age, they just go along with the crowd.

Be true to yourself. And no you are not weird (unless you want to be.)

Well....You are definitely different than most 11 year olds! When I was 11 I didn't like that stuff but thats OK because that who you are and people should like you for that!

Having unusual interests doesn't make you weird. Personally, I don't believe in the concept of normal. Oh, and for the record my brother and I were both into classical music at 11
