  1. If you drive in UK then yes, it is perfectly legal.

  2. I have a step-son who is also 8 yrs old.. and i didnt know he needed a booster seat, still at his age. So he got used to sit at the front without one. Now it's almost impossible to get him to sit in one ( he thinks it's for babies!).... so I told him to sit in the back... but he is so used to sit in the front (and me too), i sometime forget to tell him: No, go in the back....

Well, there are requirements for kids in the front seat. They have to be 12 years old and older, they have to weight i think 100lbs or more, and/or they have to be i think it's 140 cm tall. They have to wear the seatbelt properly (and not behind the shoulder like they always seem to like it !)...but then again... i am really not sure that all kids who still sit in the front meet those requirements...!

  3. NO.  It is ILLEGAL for anyone under the age of 13 years to sit in the front with or without a booster cushion.

  4. No, he'll require a booster seat as this will ensure he's at the right height for the seatbelt to restrain him in the event of an accident.

If he's not on a booster seat, he could (and this is a horrid thought), slip under the belt.

Get it fitted professionally if you're not 100% certain, I think Halfords offers this service.

  5. as long as hes in a booster seat and got his seat belt on properly then yes i don't see any problems with the law

  6. Use this site, it is for all states...............

  7. yeah its under sevens who cannot sit in the front your son would still have to sit in a booster seat tho ( ok calm down acka) i was wrong i apologise

  8. whats it matter? Ever since i was out of the baby seat i can remember i rode in the front.

  9. With a booster cushion?

The child can be in the front seat no problem, but they must have a booster if they are less than 12 years, or less than 135cm tall

This is so the seat belt and air bag will work safely with the child.

Corey - you are wrong. Babies can be in the front seat and any age up, as long as the correct booster/seat is used. There is no 7 year olds rule.

There is a leaflet available in PDF - see link below

  10. Yes you are but if he is less than 1.35m tall he must use a booster seat
