Am looking for a site on the Affrican Pouch Rats. Im facinated by them not much info on the sites Please help?

These rats are not allowed in Australia. But that doesnt mean lack of interested. PLease help me find out more. Its like a bad itch I want to scratch.

It might help if you search for "Gambian Pouched Rat". There are two species of African Pouched Rats, the Gambian and the Emin's. The Gambian is much more popular as pets.

I don't think that there are any of these animals in Australia at all. Some people in the USA still have them, but they are illegal here now. Most people who still have them are located in the UK.

I have been wanting one of these for ages! I just need to move to a country where they aren't banned. :) If you find any current information about breeders in Canada, please come back and let me know!
