Am playing golf at pebble beach, ca. which is best hotel to stay in within resort?

Well if you can afford it, Casa Palmero is probably your best bet. It's actually a house the Pebble Beach Co. purchased and converted into a estate rooms and a spa. It's adjacent to the Lodge so all the amenities of the Lodge are available such as the Tap Room and Club XIX. They also have the Fairway One House which is exactly what it says. Right on the first fairway of Pebble Beach it's nice if you want your own space, kinda pricey as well. But if your budget is a little tighter and you just wanna choose between the big two, I'd personally choose The Inn at Spanish Bay. While the Lodge has so much history and is a great hotel Spanish Bay is just as nice and probably more updated. They have great restaurants like Roy's and Peppoli's with great ocean and course views. Also, it's close to Pacific Grove and Monterey with all the great tourist places like Cannery Row, the Wharf and the Monterey Bay Aquarium (a must do). It can also be a bit more quiet considering there are always tour buses full of people constantly coming and going from the Lodge and that doesn't seem to happen so much at Spanish Bay. Which ever hotel you choose, you have access to both of their amenities and the resort has shuttles that run regularly between the two.

P.S. Don't miss the bagpiper at Spanish Bay. They play everyday right before sundown. Go to Sticks restaurant and grab a drink and sit out on the terrace and watch the sun go down as he walks up and down the first fairway.
