Is it possible to find what dealers pay on the internet similar to the msrp on cars? Any suggested negotiating tips?

  1. PWC's are very much like motorcycles when buying from a dealer. If it's a "hot" model that the dealer knows is going to sell, he isn't going to come down on the price. If it's a "not so hot" model that sells slow, he'll be willing to deal.

The best tip is to check the price on the same model at every dealer within 250 miles and if they won't match or beat the cheapest, be ready to walk away.

  2. Negotiate on everything.

    There are no magical tips.

Make and offer, they take it or they don't. If you are ready to walk away then you have the upper hand.

Don't let them intimidate you, they are the scum of the earth.

There are thousands of insect-like marine dealers out there, find one that will work with you.

I have walked out of many marine dealers because they were pricks and I told them so. Once had a dealer chase me out the door over a Sea Doo battery. He told me once he charged the battery I have bought it no returns. So I told him his customer service was c**p and walked out. He chased me to my truck trying to make a deal. I left. (True Story)  He was a self-righteous jerk, and I told him so. Went to another dealer and told them the entire story. They bent over backwards for me for years.
