Am using utorrent 1.7 and have problems with port forwarding.?

i followed all those steps for port forwarding by changing settings for my smartax mt882 router. but when i select the TEST IF PORT IS FORWARDED PROPERLY i still get the error message. the yellow icon on the bottom never turns green. the download speed is only around 20KB/s. please help me.

dont get into any such fuss recommened by others i m having the same problem and i just solved it before answering u just go to firewall and

1. Click on windows firewall and the end of the window

2. a new window will open

3. in that windows general tab choose "On (Recommended)"

4. then also check on dont allow exception

5. now in the same window go to exceptions tab and unmark uTorrent from there.

Did you set an exception in your software firewall for uTorrent?

I agree with the others about uTorrent 1.8.  There is a security flaw in 1.7 that was fixed in 1.8.

Utorrent just recently updated to version 1.8 ,,just go ahead and go to there site and download the new version

uTorrent 1.7 is not recommended, it has major problems. Upgrade to the 1.8 and it could fix your problem.
