Am wondering how hard it would be to find a job as well as cheap accommodation in Ireland?

A friend and I are wanting to go to Ireland, somewhere around the dublin region, for a working holiday towards the end of the year. Would like as much info as possible as well as any other hints & tips- even in regards to visas etc. Would be so appreciative. Thank you

  1. Hi, I don't know about finding a job or visa's etc, but look on Hotel Finder Dublin for cheap accommodation.

  2. Competition for jobs is fierce especially in the building trade.  Bar work you may get or working in a hotel the catering/services industry seems to be holding steady.  Accommodation to rent Dublin and surrounding areas will use up most of your money.

  3. Dublin should be easy to get a job but accomidation is expensive unless u stay in a hostel.

Look up www.irishjobs.ie to see available jobs in dublin

  4. If you're an EU national, you don't need a visa. Contact the Irish Embassy or Consulate in your country to find out the paperwork requirements.

Finding a job probably won't be difficult in the Dublin area, but finding enough that pays enough to get you an affordable place to live is another thing entirely. I would advise looking elsewhere in the country, where there are plenty of jobs, and accommodation is a bit less expensive.
