  1. Hi,

The Amalfi coast is just magnificent!

They don't have any problems with their rubbish (garbage )

as this is purely a problem within Naples.

I stayed there for 3 weeks in 2006 and had a great xperience

    and will certainly return.

If you go by a rented car you can expect very bendy roads!

The coastal road are long, bendy and some places quite narrow...Just take your time and go slow.

We stayed at a nice hotel (Il Nido) just outside Amalfi city.

We had a panoramic seaview from our room and loved this place.

Go by car along the coastal road and visit Ravello, Amalfi and Positano (beautiful cities).

Park the car and go by boats from Amalfi to Capri and to Naples (if they have brushed all the garbage away :-)  )

The boats go very fast and you can relax during the trip,

by car you can NOT relax...

I wish you a nice trip!

  2. You'll love the Amalfi Coast. It's a beautiful area, full of winding roads and small picturesque cities. If you're not into noise and chaos, avoid Naples for the most part.

I stayed on Capri for a few days, which I would HIGHLY recommend. It's absolutely gorgeous, and the lifestyle and culture there makes you feel almost royal. Though it's not cheap, try and stay on Capri overnight, rather than just taking the ferry out for the day. Once the tourist crowds leave, the Italian elite come out and it's a cool atmosphere to hob-nob around in.

We didn't stay anywhere else on the coast, just took a bus trip along, stopping in the small towns to eat or shop for a day, and I thought it was a great way to see the sights.

Definitely eat some seafood while there; mussels, fish, etc. Lonely Planet travel guides had some great places to eat, and hotel operators should also be able to give you some recommendations.

  3. it's a stunning place but there is a problem with the rubbish...you should wait..

  4. one of the top destinations in the mediterranean.

    Amalfi,ravello,positano.

Public transport is poor unfortunately, but the country is wonderful with top food and hotels, but high prices also.
