Newcastle United’s new signing Romain Amalfitano is looking forward to playing in a black and white jersey and hopes to shine for them this season.
The Frenchman was manager http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alan-c4244 Pardew’s first signing of the summer as he arrived from French outfit Reims. The player has been impressive in Newcastle’s pre-season campaign and demonstrated his attacking flair and tenacity.
Despite being young, he is considered a major signing for the Magpies, and is one for the future. Amalfitano did not feature in the 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, but is expected to start the game against Greek side Atromitos tonight. This
will be his first competitive game for the club since his arrival in July.
This is a very big opportunity for the player, and he looks forward to making the most of it. Amalfitano is known for his passing ability and his attack minded approach to the game. Manager Alan Pardew will be hoping to see the player exhibit these traits
in tonight’s game as he fields out a host of new and fringe players to see how they fare against the Greek side.
Speaking about his experience in England so far, Amalfitano also stated his happiness at joining Newcastle and how he is adjusting to the club and country.
“Newcastle United is everything I expected it would be. And so is http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749. I have found English football very good.”
“I came to England for occasions like Saturday against Tottenham, and I was really happy to be part of the group for that game. Now I know what I am playing for, I am determined to work very happy at every opportunity to make sure I improve.”
“Thursday is a very big opportunity for me and for others. The coach has told us as a squad that there will be chances for those of who might not have started against Spurs and there is enough of us to take turns.”
After tonight’s Europa League play off, Newcastle will travel to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea in the Premier League. The Magpies’ last outing with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 saw them win the game 2-0 courtesy of two brilliant goals by Papiss Demba Cisse. This time will
be different as they will face a new-look and formidable Chelsea side that has the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fernando-Torres-c13707 and Juan Mata in attack.
