I have a '93 Amana with top freezer. Only the bottom of the freezer will freeze anything. The other two shelves are progressively warmer and neither will freeze. The other problem is that water is building up inside of the refrigerator, under the crispers. I have notice that the drain hose appears inoperable, and the water pan is as dry as a desert. I put a wire up the hose, which stopped at about the point where the freezer starts.
My theory is that the hose has become plugged, water has built up and froze someplace in there, and because of that blockage the water has no where to go so its running down the inside and that's why the crispers are wet. This is just a theory.
