Has anyone noticed how quick the BBC,etc have backtracked over this boys death?

On Sunday evening this was being seen as a racist attack--because the victim was a Pakistani--now this is not being mentioned.

Why is this?

  1. Because he was killed by a load of pakistanis - the race argument doesn't really stand up in this new light.

EDIT - I agree with saiqa - this happy slapping thing is getting out of hand. For some reason, the fact that it's on film eggs people on to do more and more extreme things, and somehow desensitises things to what they're actualy doing. It's sick, but I am glad that last month, a girl got sent down for murder for filming and egging people on without actually landing a blow herself. This needs to stop.

  2. because killed by same race. I am more shocked at how they could kill someone and then brag about it? what is happening to teenagers nowadays? Just don't understand this happy slapping thing.

  3. it is not racist because all involved were coloured and no white people involved

  4. I find it irritating that they always jump to the racist murder angle. Why stir up racial hatred before you know the facts. These scumbags should be sentenced to 30 years hard labour. It is shocking that this is a happy slapping - something has to be done!

  5. Is it really relevant, the poor child is tragically still dead and the culprits irrespective of origin must be brought to justice.
