  1. Once you get hit in the mouth it wont matter any way.

  2. at 12 you are still growing so i wouldn't try to shed to much weight. try to trim up a lil' by exercising and build your stamina  through training.start out in the novice division ,fighting people at a similar level. sounds like we have a future heavyweight on our hands!!!

  3. guy ontop of me.

they dont go by middle weight and stuff dude. like 108.

    ok.

    im 13, 108lbs. 4 fights.

i think you should lose maybe 15 pounds or 20. become skinny and tall, stick that jab out there.

ur gonna be fighting kids about a year older.

you cannot fight someone more than 18 month older, rules. and it has to be within 5 lbs.

good luck, btw were u from?

  4. don't worry about that for now just get to a boxing gym and start training. your weight will fluctuate greatly at your age and you won't stop growing until you are much older. at your age you can easily gain or lose 5 pounds in a day just by what you eat or don't eat. Just focus on training b/c you won't be fighting in competition till you are at least 16 years old. That is why it is great that you are starting now b/c by the time you are able to fight you will have a lot of preparation that other will not have.

  5. i agree with the others and lose the weight naturally when training but eat healthy foods and drink alot of water. As big as you are you might have some trouble finding kids your size to box against, the age class you should be fighting in is 12 and 13,its been awhile since i boxed but it went 10-11yrs,12-13yrs and14-15 yrs .

  6. At 5'8" you will probably come down to between light welterweight and super welterweight, so between 140 and 154. Middleweights will probably be too tall for you, and you will probably be too lean below light welterweight. Don't worry about what weight class you will end up in until you've been training for awhile though... it doesn't matter until you fight, and you usually train for a year or so before you fight for the first time. Also, don't try to cut weight BEFORE training... you'll cut weight just fine once you are going at it.

Good luck and welcome to the Sweet Science.
