Amateur boxers?

Hey guys so Ive been wondering. I always wear the leather kind of headguards and im thinking of making the switch to the plastic/rubber ones. what are some pros and cons for the both of them.

i never wore leather but the plastic ones seam to never fit firmly enough always fall over my eyes but it does absorb a lot of the impact on the side of my head
