if you know any professional photographers, ask them, thats what i did, & if not go to your local photo store, the one around me has an annual contest, also national geographic has one for kids & adults, i suggest going to their website

National Geographic has photo contests every month to see whose photo gets put into the magazine. Look for National Geographic Submit Photo on a search engine like Google or Yahoo.
