Amauri: Parma offered me a chance to play football again – Serie A news
The Italian International, Amauri, has expressed his gratitude towards Parma officials who played a big hand in enabling him to get his form back. The striker was snapped by Parma on loan from Juventus after he ran out of favours following a poor run of
form. Amauri made his way to Stadio Ennio during the January transfer window.
The Brazilian-born was all at praise for the Parma officials who, in spite of his poor form, trusted his abilities and brought him on loan. He further thanked the club’s Director and President and believed that without their intervention, Parma move would
not have been possible. He admitted to his poor run of form with the Turin giants and told that he was under more pressure at Juventus as there were a lot of quality players waiting for their turn which added extra pressure.
Since joining Parma, the Brazilian has made 11 League appearances from which he has netted a remarkable seven goals. These performances were in complete to the ones he managed with Juventus; Amauri flopped miserably in Turin this season, failing to net a
single goal until winter transfer window. The dreadful form resulted in Luigi Delneri benching the attacker for extended spells.
The 30-year-old added, "I thank the club, president, Tommaso Ghirardi, and director, Pietro Leonardi, because they allowed me to get back to playing football. I'm happy with what I achieved.  There was a lack of belief toward me in Turin. In January I decided
to put myself up for discussion, to join Parma and demonstrate my worth. At the end of the day I was proved right."

When quizzed upon his future, the striker refrained from giving any comments but the 30-year-old would be pleased staying at Stadio Ennio rather than heading back to Juventus.
