next season.
The 31-year-old stated that he is unaware of the Gigliati’s intentions about his future, and insisted that he will soon hold a meeting with the club President to discuss the matter in detail.
Amauri insisted that if it becomes clear that the Viola do not want to extend their relationship with him, then he will ponder on other options that are available to him.
The former Palermo man stated that there is no hiding to the fact that he wants to prolong his tenure with Fiorentina, and insisted that the club does not need much to return to winning ways in the league.
While talking to Radio Blu, the 31-year-old said:
“I’m waiting to speak with the President to understand what Fiorentina’s intentions are. If they tell me that I am no longer in their plans then I will take a look at what is available, but I’ll just wait for now. I’m not hiding
the fact that I’d like to be a part of the new Fiorentina and I don’t think the club need a lot to get back to the results of a few years ago.”
The Viola went through a difficult season, where they were engaged in a battle for survival in Serie A for most part of their campaign.
The former Juventus striker stated that it is sad to see a team like Fiorentina fighting to stay above the relegation zone, but insisted that it was one of those unfortunate seasons, where everything went wrong for them.
