Amaze all set for the Intechnology Services Handicap
The Class 3 Intechnology Services Handicap has pulled together a rather competitive field of seven three-year-old and above contenders. The mile and two furlong race will be hosted by Ayr on Thursday, 11th October. The line-up is a mix of those who have raced at Ayr before, and those who are in for their first experience. The prize money at stake is £6,663.
The most promising entry of the race is the four-year-old chestnut gelding, Amaze. He is backed by 11 to 4 odds based on the fact that the drop down in the distance of the race today will help him pull back his form.
The six outings of the four-year-old have been divided equally between this year and the previous year. From the six outings, the only time that he was successful was in his seasonal debut.
The 2011 campaign comprised of two maiden attempts, and a sixth position in a hurdle on 21st September, 2011.
Pivotal’s chestnut gelding out of, Dazzle, struck the debut success of the career and the season through the Sis Live Maiden Stakes on 6th June, 2012 at Ripon race course over a mile and two furlongs.
With Barry McHugh taking control, the Brian Ellison trained reconsidered after reaching mid-division, and then progressed on pursuing the leaders when there were still three more furlongs to take over. His stance was tested when the last furlong remained, staying courageous got him the race with the margin of just ¾ of a length from the favourite entry, Stencive. Taking refuge with the third position was, Moratab.
After a devastating fourteenth position in the Lloyd Motor Group Carlisle Bell (Handicap) on 27th June, 2012 at Carlisle race course over a mile, the chestnut gelding qualified as the runner-up in the Frank And Tom Fitzgerald Handicap on 28th September, 2012 at Haydock over a mile.
He concluded the race at the mark of just half-length as the favourite entry, Chosen Character, was the first one to sail past the wire.
The 11 to 4 shot for the race will take off from the seventh stall, and will guided through the track distance by jockey, Barry McHugh.
