Amazing ! I haven't seen any comments about Brian Vickers winning the pole at MIS !?

How do you think he'll do? Maybe now Mikey W will put a race car driver in the #55.

I'm not happy because he is one of two to beat Sadler but it's a good run for him and I look for him to be an extremely strong contender.

I know I was just thinking that same thing too. He beat the #48 by 2 or 3 tenths. Thats pretty strong. Ive always thought even since his days at HMS he was good. I doubt that Red Bull racing is going to let Brian go anywhere. I bet Red Bull hangs on to AJ Almendinger too, he has really improved this year after taking a seat to Skinner for a couple of races.

good for vickers but jr. earned the pole at texas and finished 12th. newman earned the pole at Phoenix and came in 43rd. biffle earned the pole at darlington and came in 43rd. kyle Busch got the pole at Las Vegas and finished 12th. Jimmie Johnson got the pole at Daytona and wrecked. Patrick Capentier won the pole at New hampshire and finished below 20th. Kyle Busch earned the pole for the All-Star Race and had an engine failure. I'm sure there are more but i think I got my point across - poles mean absolutely nothing.

edit: Seriously! I really do like Vickers wether he was driving a Chevy, Toyota or a Moped! Toyota fan's should be proud and give me some thumbs up! I like AJ and Mikey. Mikey more so in commercials and real life but anyway.........I'm a Chevy fan that's happy Brian Vickers won the pole!

Before qualifying I said he'd finish 2nd to Jeff Gordon. I'm gonna stick with that, but I'm hoping he wins. It's probably gonna come down to fuel mileage again, though :( I hope he can pull it out, and win a race or two this season. Next year I think will be even better for team Red Bull. He's one of my favorite drivers and it's good to see him doing better this season.

Well I was gone most of the day but I was surprised too. If Kyle would have gotten it the place would have been flooded with questions like can he can win from the pole, or how him and JGR are such a cheaters etc. etc. But Vickers is in my fantasy picks for this week so I'm pretty cool with him starting up there. I think he'll be top 5, top 3 maybe, but If it comes down to fuel millage again who knows. Michael Waltrip just might end up in vl this Sunday haha.
