Question:

Amazon Kindle vs. Money in the bank.?

I've been lusting after the Kindle for months, but could never really afford one. But, my husband was recently deployed to Korea, so with the extra money we're getting I can afford it (don't tell me I'm selfish, he's in the process of building himself some Super Computer). My husband is telling me to get one, but while he's gone our goal is to save as much money as we can. I know that I would use the c**p out of that Kindle, and I've read just about every review on the planet. But should I be responsible and save the $360, or should I actually spend some money on myself for once?

  1. Purchase the Kindle!  My sister in law has one and it is wonderful.  I actually just ordered one for myself.    Here is a justification if you need one, the most you pay for a book for the Kindle is $9.99.  There are tons for $5.99 and sometimes they send you one free with your order.  If you are traveling you don't have to take multiple books with you, just your Kindle.  Get a friend to purchase one also and save your books to a sd memory card, then you both can read the books.  Treat yourself...you will save money in the end.  Enjoy
