Amazon Shipping Question?

I pre-orded a video game on amazon today on August 30th and it say that the shipping estimate is September 8th. Does this mean it wont be shipped out until September 8th or that i will receive it on September 8th.

It should ship on September 8th - however depending on the number of pre-orders ahead of you it may ship later if they do not have enough stock to fullfill all of the pre-orders at once.

When does the game come out?

I'm guessing that it's going to be shipped out the 8th, but I've already bought pre-released things and they've come on or even BEFORE the date.
