Amazon free shipping dates and time?

Well, i ordered a game on Saturday with free shipping. But i have realized that i wont be here when it is expected to come. And there is no where to hide my item (by the way its a video game) and my neighborhood is gangster so it will get stolen if left at my house which will be deserted. Will the video game come in the mailbox or will the idiots at UPS stick 500 notes on my door and leave the game outside to be stolen. Please help and be as detailed as possible. And can you tell me a bit about the process that happens if you arnt able to get your item.

They won't leave notes on your door and your package. It's either one or the other.

They will probably leave it in the mailbox since it's small enough to fit, and it probably doesn't require someone to be there/sign. If you don't have a mailbox then they just might leave it outside, but I would doubt it.

If they leave a note then they will leave a couple of notes(probably in your mailbox) with the name of which UPS/USPS(whoever it's shipping with) location you can pick your package up from. Take the notes to that location, they'll tell you to sign the back of the note, and they will give you your package. That's about it.
