  1. Well, the Posadas Amazonas lodge has open air rooms (no wall), if you plan on taking things of value (laptop, cell phone, ect) i suggest you head on to the Sandoval lodge. I stayed at the Sandoval lodge, the rooms are nothing extravagant but provide private rooms and bathrooms. I remember that to get to the lodge you have to go in a small boat down the river, it was amazing. Not to mention, the  lodge sits overlooking Lake Sandoval which is amazingly breathtaking.

  2. I don't know anything about Posada. In May of 2006 I stayed at Sandoval. The rooms fit the need: someplace to sleep and keep your clothes. The people were very nice. We had a great guide named Oscar.

The first night when they served dinner, we were surpised. We figured we'd be roughing it. Good eats.

The lounging area has a bar and hammocks so you can sit and read. The sunset on the lake is beautiful.

I'd learned there that the constellations south of the equator are reversed. Oscar brought out the telescope after a night tour. The sky was so clear. We could see the rings around Saturn. The moon was full and when I looked away from the telescope, I had the vision like you get coming indoors on a sunny day.

Maybe you can check trip advisor. I don't think you can go wrong with Sandoval.
