I ordered a book from amazon on about the 28th. I recieved an email from amazon on the 1st saying i was getting a refund for it because it was out of stock, i bought it used from another person. Yet today, on the 5th, i just recieved this so said book. Sadly, i just bought the book reordered it from another website.

I'm slightly confused to what happened. I figured i wasn't getting the book since i did get a refund email, and i don't know if the seller just lost the money because i got the refund or what..any ideas?

I had a refund email the 1st, and now i have the book on the 5th.

  1. first check your credit card statement to see if yu've really got the refund. i suspect that you've been charged for it despite the mail. what normally happens when something is out of stock, is that they dont charge you when it's out of stock (this is probably the email you got), but once they receive fresh stock, they keep the order on the loop and charge you and send you the shipment.

if it's possible, return the book to one of the two places, tho again i suspect you will incur some expenditure to do it.

you should call up amazon and ask them what the h**l was going on... hopefully they should solve the problemw ithout too much hassle
