Ambati Rayudu to wait for his opportunity at the international level
Former Indian cricketers Kiran More and Lalchand Rajput have backed the Indian selection committee’s decision of not picking young http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ambati-Rayudu-c1007 who has performed exceptionally well in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Rayudu is representing Mumbai Indians in IPL since the last season and has performed brilliantly with the bat. On top of that, he has had an extra-ordinary domestic record in India. Rayudu has piled up 566 runs in only nine innings for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Baroda-c769 including the
best of 200 not out.
More feels that there are a number of youngsters performing very well for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 at the moment and Rayudu might have to wait a little longer. He added that the young batsman should keep on scoring runs in the domestic cricket in order to strengthen his case
for national selection.
"There is healthy competition for places in the middle order. I think Rayudu will have to wait for his turn and in the meanwhile, keep performing consistently in every form of cricket he plays," More said.
Another former Indian cricketer Lalchand Rajput backed More’s opinion and said that there was a close call between him and the likes of Rohit Sharma and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Subramaniam-Badrinath-c2593.
He feels that Rayudu will get his opportunity sooner or later. Rajput added that Rayudu must have learnt a great deal from his captain in IPL Sachin Tendulkar because it is very evident from his performance.
Rajput said, "Rayudu performed very well; he should have got a look in, but I believe it was a close call between Rohit, Badrinath and Rayudu for the middle order slot. This season, playing for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mumbai-c820 Indians under Sachin Tendulkar, he has learnt a lot and
it is reflecting in his performance. So, I am sure, he will make it to the Indian team pretty soon."
