Ambitious Carly Booth sets sights on Raiffeisenbank Prague Golf Masters
Scottish Carly Booth is in high spirits after winning the Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open 2012, and now she has set her sights on the upcoming Raiffeisenbank Prague Golf Masters, scheduled to be held from June
22-24, at Albatross Golf Resort, Czech Republic.
Booth has been playing well in the current season, as she has recorded two LET (Ladies European Tour) victories so far. She racked up her first professional title at the Aberdeen Asset Management Ladies Scottish
Open 2012 a few weeks ago.
Analysts said that the 19-year-old golfer is determined not to surrender to her nerve, as she has shown by facing big names on the course recently.
Prague Golf Masters is going to feature a strong field. Some of the key contenders include English Laura Davies, Trish Johnson, Melissa Reid, Lee-Anne Pace, Line Vedel, Carlota Ciganda, Anne-Lise Caudal, Karen
Lunn, Frances Bondad, Diana Luna of Italy and Linda Wessberg.
Tournament officials said that several top-ranked LET payers will grace the course this year, attracting local and international spectators.
Booth, who has gained plenty of confidence thanks to her latest victory, knows that it will not be easy to beat battle-hardened rivals.
However, commentators seem to put their confidence in the young Scotch. They said that Booth is capable of outperforming any player in the world. They, however, pointed out that the lack of experience may hamper
her on some holes.
Speaking to the media about her stunning performance at the end of the Swiss Open 2012, the young prodigy said that she is happy to grab the second LET win of her career, and will try to keep moving ahead in
the same direction.
She said that she gained confidence thanks largely to her win in the Aberdeen Asset Management Ladies Scottish Open 2012. Booth said that playing on her home course was a great experience.
Mentioning her caddy’s role in her second LET victory, the Scottish star said that her boyfriend, Goya, was on her bag and he assisted her greatly on every hole she played.
“He was tremendous help. It was amazing to have him and it’s a shame that he can’t be on my bag more often because he’s playing as well on the men’s tour,” she said.
