Ambulances in Australia?

okay, so ambulances in Australia have written on the back of them "FOR THE SERVICE OF HUMANITY"

Well my point is if its for the service of humanity, then why do we have to pay for them... you would think that it would be free!!!

Dont get me wrong i have a huge amount of respect for Ambulance officers and the work they do, although it is a businees after all! Why put that on the back?

Someone has to pay for the medicine, the training of staff, the gas, the vehicle, the vehicle maintenance, the equipment, etc. WHO is going to pay for that? NOTHING is free.
