Although they were killed in 1999, I believe that the closest thing we had to American royalty was JFK Jr. and his wife.  He was nothing like the other Kennedy's.  But sadly, they are no longer with us.

P.S.  For roostermanforever....... if you are from the UK... I wouldn't be standing too proud over your Queen or her pathetic son Charles.  They both basically made a mockery over Diana's death, not to mention the forever on going affair he had even before he married Diana with the old bag he is married to now.  Don't stick that chest out too far..... roosters are great for roasting!!

Um does it have to be a living person or group? It could be said that due to the wealth and power accumulated over the years and the way that they manage to win elections and offices, the Kennedy family would be Americas closest thing to royalty. At least thats what first comes to  mind.

I think that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are American Royalty, because they are so active, and they are fighting for so many things. I think that's what royalty should be, not just crowns and jewels. They are royalty to me, and it has nothing to do with their money or star status. They're helping the world.
