  1. There is probably only one sprinter male or female that i didn't think a bit dubious and that is Michael Johnson.I think this guy was a natural talent.

  2. Jamaica has always been very strong in the sprints, but...until now... they've never been more dominant than the U.S. sprinters. What I find more ironic is that this year the U.S. had its greatest opportunity ever to win gold in the 1500 - with Bernard Lagat and Lopez Lomond - but both of them "dropped the ball" big time...oh well, there's always the Worlds next year.

  3. Or because they are not able to take drugs due to the stringent tests. All Yankee athletes are cheats. Take Marian Jones for example and her husband. She vehemently denied taking drugs and was later founds to have lied.

Sums Yankees up in one. Liers and cheats in all aspect of life and society.

  4. give em a chance. There is still a lot of track and field to go. The jamaicans have the sprinting sown up, but there are still a few of the yanks in the other events.

  5. Thats because they are running "DRUG FREE" for the first time in decades. The playing field is now level. True talent will now prevail. Jamaicans were always successful but were always running in the shadows of the cheaters. Do you remember the "BRONZE QUEEN" Merlene Ottey?. She just couldnt win the likes of Gail Devers, Flo JO etc.

Incidentially, dont single out Jamaica. Its really a Caribbean thing. Look at how many Caribbean athletes are making the finals. it just so happens that Jamaica is the leading Caribbean track and field country

p.s next time you write the word Jamaica please start it with a upper case J

  6. Is it a coincidence that this occurs at a time when drug testing has become more stringent than ever?

  7. they are overtrained, while jamaicans are in cool mood

  8. You need to rephrase your question, and state "The Americans are doing bad by their standards".....any other country in the world that could sweep the Men's 400M hurdles and get gold, silver, bronze like Jamaica did in the 100M sprint and they'd be considered a powerhouse....get off the anti-American bandwagon.

  9. I don't care

  10. Wishful thinking.  Most of the finals are yet to be run.

  11. We watched British cyclists being beaten for seven years before the last year or so. They stuck at it. To be the sest, you have to beat the rest.

  12. There will always be someone better than you.  They can't stay on top all of the time.

But well done to Michael Phelps.
