  1. Don't know how to tell you this

We don't have to show you anything,. If as you infer we are a fading nation why is it all over the world it's America this America that? I  travel a lot and from time to time some one TRIES to tell me what they think of my great country the only thing I want to say to them or show them is the back of my hand

Over the pond is just one big museum to me

But it's not our teeth that is long toots If you want to see it well cost you money honey

  2. We're waiting on the great Obama to rescue us ( rolls eyes sarcastically).

  3. America is not big on trains even though we like to throw billions of dollars into Amtrack.

  4. Do it yourself.

Good point, Yul.  I think Europe has gotten long in the tooth.

  5. the federal government has gotten to involved in the american citizens lives.  they tax the h**l out of us, and then make us dependent on them with their redistribution of wealth. if they let the economy free technology would boom at an incredibly rate and the quality of life would raise substantially.

  6. if your not happy we wont keep you

  7. Mars Rover (and Surveyor),

Should there ever actually be a stable Arab democracy in Iraq, that would be an accomplishment beyond comprehension.

Billions of dollars of aid poured into the Tsunami area.

Billions of dollars poured into Africa to fight AIDS.

The International Space Station (100's of Billions of American dollars and know-how poured into that world-wide cooperative program).

Stealth Fighter / Stealth Bomber / F-22 (5th Generation Fighter)

Perhaps with the end of cheap energy, we will join the world's interest in Rail technology.  Meanwhile we have an incredible Interstate Highway system that most foreigners cannot even imagine.  (One old adage about the difference between people in the US and UK is that in the US 100 years is thought a long time, in the UK 100 miles is though a long distance.)

We are not what we've been, such as when we rebuilt Europe after WW2.  Or landed on the Moon some 20 years later.  But we are not entirely gone yet either.

  8. The liberals have taken over and they believe in getting a paycheck for not doing any work. There's your answer.

  9. "Long in the tooth" means something has gotten old.  Considering America is a much younger nation than it's European counterparts I would say that's an inaccurate phrase. However, I do agree with you about the train.  We need some kind of high speed train to run cross country.  Hopefully we will have something like that before long.
