America lost patriotism?

why is america loosing patriotism ?

People are not accepting the definition of patriotism as " Whatever the leaders of the country do in my name, right or wrong."  Maybe it is more

that people are looking to the things that they can be proud of--like when

Americans get together to help one another in times of earthquake, flood,

fire etc.   When a major candidate for President gets up and chants, "Bomb, bomb, bomb,...bomb. bomb Iran, I want to throw up.  If that makes me not patriotic, then you and I have to understand that  sometimes the last refuge of a scoundrel is patriotism.  

Also just because someone was tortured serving in the military, doesn't mean anything about their patriotism, their qualities for public office, or their mental stability.  It means they are a survivor and are d-mn lucky.

Almost gone before 9-11 , then it came back now there are some who are trying to hide it as if it had not existed once again. Congrats MTV generation.
