Here are some of my views - as far as imporiving schools I think giving more money is like throwing money into fire - it burns up without any use. The cost spent per child in the US is significantly higher than anywhere else in the world yet they have one of the lowest results in non-third world countries. The money made from the lottery that supposedly goes to schools? No differences seen since the start of the program. In the Los Angeles school district 66% of the budget is unaccounted for yet nobody discusses it! People in the administrative level get hundreds of thousand dollar salaries and there is so much waste, yet students have 50 year old playgrounds and outdated books, classrooms with old desks and no AC... Parents let their children watch movies and play games that are violent, they don't have meals together or inquire about their day or their friends, everyone even within a family unit are antisocial and doing their own thing, society is overly sexualized and teen s*x ok...

  1. Sorry, but to be honest, better control at our borders.

  2. Break the liberal welfare, givaway, entitlement strangle hold they have on this country.

  3. Off the top of my head I would say strenghen the family.  To many single parent households.  Kids with both parents tend to do better.  Also I would also think the obvious of better funding for schools

  4. Control our borders, and make parents responsible for the actions of their children

  5. i have a great idea,  how about legalize and tax the **** out of marijuana, then use the tax money for the education system.  that way less people are arrested and schools have more money.  boy that was easy

  6. well if our youth had a future it might help like jobs or a chance to go to college but lets just send everything overseas and spend money helping poor nations like we have been doing. our youth have no future so crime will go up and drug use lets admit it flipping burgers is no future and jobs are scarce but don't blame bush its both parties

  7. It all starts at home...parents need to get involved with their kids and start being real parents. Don't think you can ignore your kid or treat your kid like dirt and then act surprised when they get into trouble. Parents also need to watch how they treat others...just because your kid is little, he/she is watching and that's how they learn to treat others. You wouldn't believe how nasty I have heard parents berate a clerk in a store or a teacher, and the kid is standing right there. The kid then thinks it's ok to talk like that. The teacher or the parole officer then has to teach your kid how to act. That is the parent's job.

  8. Obama! It hasn't been made public yet but that is one of the changes he is always harping about.  And, as usual he cannot articulate how he will do it; he has no plan really, just another empty statement.

  9. I guess we could put all kids in jail until they graduate.

  10. Well, do the numbers really need to be switched? Or is it just the high school graduate ranking that needs to be improved?  As sure as we will always have the poor, the surety of crime will ever be present.  I commend the brave men and women who are putting their lives on the line daily to fight crime.  High school graduates though... the problem has to begin at home.  So if that is true, then it is up to community members to take responsibility and get involved in another young person's life.  There are many good jobs available after college, and that truth should be communicated to students.  Drugs are a problem as well.  Most young people are going to experience with drugs, but it's up to pro-social parents and other pro-social individuals who can intervene and get involved in the lives of these young people to persuade them in their minds to press for success.

  11. Teach parents to encurage thier children and make MANDATORY parenting classes available at well established Churches or Synaguages or Mosques. We all have to prove that we know how to dive a car before getting a drivers license but is not bringing some  human beings into the world a greater responsibility that requires more skills? Where was the father of that kid that started the Crips? Where was Charles Manson's Dad? Where was the fathers of Ted Bundy and John Wayne Gacy?

Allow no one with less that a "B" average to play sport in public schools. Give math and English teachers the power to make a poor performing child come to school earlier and stay later to get help.

Stop the Hollywood entertainment industry from forcing actors from speaking proper English. Jail anyone selling the foul mouth degrading rap music.(Send them to a Turkish prison)

Jail parents who allow their kids to be out in the street after 9 PM on a school night. Whip kids that show up for school with out doing the homework assigment.

Mandatory sterilization on absent fathers and single Moms that get pregnant twice and not being married.
