  1. Well Cuz I wouldnt buy online but I would think you could find a good pool cue in the UK prob a McDermott in that range

9 ball doesnt require a special cue

  2. Sure.  A Jacoby.  Not sure if the accept pounds as payment.  That said... whats 50 pounds?

  3. buying a cue on-line is like buying pants on-line,  if you know what you want, fine. if you aren't quite sure, it could become a great pain in the a--!!

find a local store or dealer.  many pool rooms sell new and used cues.  use the used cues as a tester to find the brand that feels right to you.  maybe buy used and save some coin, or shop that cue for the best price you can find.  for the money you want to spend you are looking at a good lower end cue(new) or a middle to high end cue(used, depending on condition)  minor dings can be fixed, but look to see if the shaft and butt s***w together tightly.  also look for sign of damage.  take some shots with it.  since its used, you should be able to chalk it.

    hope this helps
