LeBron James might be the most hated player in Northeast Ohio and Cleveland but there were days when he was the most cherished player, when James charmed the universe by his ability to make buckets upon buckets and his relentless play. His talent was remarkable; he was use to the spotlight before even joining the NBA as he obtained the title “King James” in his freshman days.
It is understandable to an extent that Cavaliers fans are bitter and are keen on forgetting King James who stood summoned their city. He was a prominent athlete for the city who apparently betrayed his city and team leaving them in despair, causing an uproar; ex fans tearing down his posters, burning his jersey while former team owner sending out an open letter to his fans calling him a “coward”.
Instead wallowing in grief, why not try to value the moments and remember what James transported to the city?
James LeBron’s athletic abilities and his relentlessness towards his opponents left him unmatched; his potential to attract viewers across the world just to watch him play is remarkable. Yet somehow, Cleveland fans have forgotten and made James into a laughing stock.

How it all began?
LeBron James was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers on 26th June 2003 as the NO.1 pick in the first round. That very night, James wore an unforgettable all-white attire, everyone knew a star had entered the Cleveland roster. The team was anxious and could not wait to get him on the court and just watch him play.
James decided to skip college and join the league; he was extremely hyper at his first game. He proved that all the talk, that had been going about how amazing his skills are on the court were true. In his first game, he scored 25 points with six rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals leaving the world in consternation.
LeBron made his career high by scoring 56 points against the Toronto Raptors in 2005; however, the Cavaliers lost the game to them, but LeBron still made his mark. One of the most notable moments of that series was when LeBron James made a monster dunk on Tim Duncan, Yes Time Duncan who is almost 7 feet tall. We all have seen the dunk yet it never gets old.
James by 2004 had proved that he deserved the King thrown, as by his amazing rookie season. He scored 2,000 points in a season, was awarded the NBA Rookie of the year award, with an average of 20.9 points, 5.9 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game. He was awarded the ESPY Award for the best breakthrough Athlete, managing all this by the tender age of 19.
By 2005, he was asked to participate in the NBA All-Star Game, which was just the beginning of his era. LeBron scored 32 points, took 11 rebounds and 11 assists beating the Washington Wizards in his first ever playoffs. While in 2007 the Cleveland Cavaliers made it to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 1964, the team certainly had to be proud of the achievement, even if they had not won the championship, thanks to James they reached so far. James scored a total of 20 points and took 14 rebounds. The same very year Kevin Durant and LeBron competed against each other for the best NBA Scoring Title. LeBron brought it to his city saying the title was his whenever he wanted.
In the 2008 Olympics, which were held in Beijing, LeBron helped the team U.S.A also known as the “Redeem team” to win the championship defeating Spain by 117-108. This was certainly a bright spot for LeBron, even though it was not done for Cavaliers, it was for the country.
He earned the ESPY Award as the best NBA Player twice by 2009. LeBron James single handily took the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Eastern Conference Finals, winning their second game-round against Orlando Magic by 96-95 when LeBron shot an unforgettable fade away at the buzzer tying the series. Although the Cavaliers lost to Orlando, the game is treasured, because it had been long since Cleveland even came close to the final round.
By his fifth season, James pushed Brad Daugherty who was the all-time scoring leader in Cavaliers, conquering the Cleveland Cavaliers player scoreboard.
Fans that have remained true to LeBron say that it’s about time people in Cleveland get use to it because LeBron is still ranked as one of the best players and it is certain, he will be in the coming years as well. Some say it was the best decision that LeBron could have made, keeping his career in mind. Cleveland offered him nothing; he had been with the team for 7 years and only came close to winning the title twice.
LeBron James was an amazing player when he played for the Cleveland and will be in his tenure with the Miami Heat. The player did was best for his career, as he isn’t getting any younger and deserves a chance at winning the championship.
