    Brunswick Corporation is a big one.

    GenMar is another.

  3. What kind of boats?

    Generally, most wooden boat builders are around Maine or Washington.

    Where I work (San Diego) there are only two guys who are the real deal and they are both from Europe. One from Sweden and one from Scotland.

    I apprenticed under the Swede for 5 years and now I work for the Scotsman. Their training and results are superior to any of the Americans that I know.
