American Cricket likely to win Selling Hurdle
American Cricket is likely to make a big impact in the Finlake Holiday Park Novices’ Selling Hurdle which will take place at Exeter racecourse on Wednesday, April 4.
The high-stakes Class 5 contest over 2m3f distance is scheduled to start at 2:20 (GMT). For the prize money worth £1,949, the Evan Williams-trained bay gelding will compete against Mangonel, Brave Enough, Grand Lahou, Timmies Gone, My Viking Bay, Shufflewing,
Sunshine Buddy and Sylas Ings.
American Cricket has been performing marvellously since making his debut in February 2006. During the first three months of the calendar year, the maverick horse registered some magnificent feats.
Following a mega triumph on January 10, he moved forward to earn a runner-up rank on March 1. The talented sprinter again clinched top spot in a tough contest on March 16.
In his last outing on March 25, the talented runner excellently clinched third top position. Overall, he has won 4 out of his total 15 starts to date, earning £16,444 as prize money.
Thus, American Cricket possesses an outstanding track record which has established him as a potential contender for victory in the coming contest.
If the radiant runner manages to capitalise properly on his capabilities, his chances to finish first in the race can be as high as high as 90 percent.
Among the other contestants, My Viking Bay and Sylas Ings will also struggle hard for success.
My Viking Bay achieved a runner-up rank each in the last two outings of her career. Overall, the John O’Shea-trained bay mare has run for 18 times to date. She will try her utmost to break the maiden today.
On the other hand, Sylas Ings marvellously grabbed top spot in a race on February 8, 2012. Brian Barr-s bay gelding went on to finish 7th each in the two subsequent outings. The veteran horse is looking confident to contain his rivals well in
the race.
In this situation, there is expected to be a rip-roaring and aw-inspiring clash at Exeter. American Cricket will have to fight with his back to the wall in order to get a breakthrough. Good luck to all the runners.
