American Express Travelers Checks

Question

Ok. I am only 15 so i cant have a credit card. i wanna buy something online but my dad wont let me use his credit card even though im gonna pay him back in cash.

So my question is if i buy a travelers check would i be able to use it to make a purchase online. if not, what could i do.

You ma be out of luck until you have a credit card.

A money order would be better in this case. A travelers check would work, but since they are only sold in specific denominations, finding one in the exact amount of your purchase may not be practical. Money orders can be purchased at any post office and most liquor stores and grocery stores, and can be purchased in any amount. I prefer Post Office money orders myself, which cost $1.05 and have a space for your full address and the name and address of the person you are paying. I have never had anyone within the US refuse to accept a postal money order

Not as far as I know, because you need to verify it with a credit card usually!
