Hi All,

I have been playing American Football for roughly a year and a half now. I currently play for the youth team at West Coast :

We had a good debut season but coach fall outs and other instances left us with a sub-standard training in my opinion. Problem is all my friends who I knew left to go to Inverclyde:

Now they are coached by the former coach that brought me into the game, but I don't want to quit West Coast incase I look a quitter. Also one is very close to my home and the other is 30minute drive away. Does anyone have any adivce?

  1. Its what you feel most comfortable with that should be your decision. Are you playing for fun or hoping to go semi-pro or better? I wouldn't worry about being deemed a quitter if the more positive result for you means joining the other team. The better the foundations of a team the better all other outcomes from playing for them normally are

  2. If you love to play football, then none of this should matter, when you go on the field all the problems in your life should just go away and you get in game-mode.  It sucks that you have a picky coach but you just have to live with it, just like in real life when someone real close to you dies, you have no control over it you just have to move on and deal with it.  So I say keep playing and don't let those distractions get to you

  3. Play for the team that you will enjoy playing for, distance and how long you have been with your current team come second to that.
